What's wrong with honey? I don't add all that much to it, and the benefits of ingesting regular local honey are great. Also I tend to add a little squeeze of orange in my green tea. Studies show the citrus juice allows you to absorb more of the beneficial ingredients in green tea.

Green tea with local honey and citrus juice is about the best damn daily drink you can have.

Also I didn't specify but the honey must also be labeled "Raw" to truly be healthy. Consuming non-raw honey is basically the same as refined sugar, whereas raw honey is full of vitamins, minerals, natural antioxidants, and enzymes. It's very good for your digestive and immune systems.

ALSO, honey can be used to treat wounds. It has a powerful antibacterial effect.

I can't even touch honey from my own bees. It gives me wicked swelling and itching around/in my mouth, ears, throat, etc. Fucking horrible. I've never had a worse reaction to anything in my life. Store honey doesn't affect me at all. Normally, this is opposite with store stuff and stuff I grow. I sell the honey and stick to using the maple syrup I make for myself.

Interesting fact, around 70%-75% of all store honey had its pollen removed and illegally labeled as "honey" to hide where it comes from (usually china) and often times contains lead. You can't name it "honey" if the pollen has been removed as honey is only honey with the pollen still in it.
