Culture in Hawaii is most certainly not the same as culture in California, which is most certainly not the same as culture in the south, on the east coast, Alaska etc. There's such a huge span on land that parts of the US will never even know certain issues exist, have their own very separate accents, ideals, etc.
Is it as broad as in Europe? No, but also it's important not to forget that the US is built on immigration, we have European culture here too. Ever been to China town? And I mean real China town, not some China themed tourist spot, I mean the places all different Asian cultures, not just Chinese gathered historically during the "Asian invasion"
There are spots like this for all matter of cultures, the US is weird, one second you take an odd turn and you're in the middle of Mexico, the next you're in red blood, apple pie America.
