Wife and I are talking about going back and doing a 5-ish day hike from Thorsmork to Landmannalaugar. Supposed to be pretty good.
Domestically, my favorite camping experience of all time is a place near Tuolumne in Yosemite, but I camped once in Eugene Oregon in August, and it got down to 30 F at night, and it was some of the crispest most beautifully-feeling air I've experienced.
Legit cold weather camping, I've done some of the Valais area of Switzerland when it got into the teens (I'm from Texas - that's a big deal). Feels wonderful in the morning.
