Hey /out/,
I'm wondering what kind of music y'all like to listen to in the woods. Anything that enhances the woodsy feels, when you're not just listening to crackling fire or chirping cicadas.

I don't typically listen to music when I'm out in the woods. When I'm driving through the woods my playlist usually includes a fairly diverse range of music. Right now I've mostly been listening to Scandinavian folk music and Sami shamanic chants. But I also listen to a lot of bluegrass, classic rock, electronica, and industrial music when I'm /out/.

I'm not a total purist, but I really think taking music/other electronics with you out innawoods is defeating a lot of the purpose. Anyway, it defeats the purpose I go out with.

Guitars, vocals and whistles, harmonica, etc. are a different story. But I prefer just to listen to what's out there, and enjoy the different kind of quiet and noise.
