-tentpoles and pad if using tent
-tarp for hammock if using a hammock
-water bottles
Everything else can fit inside, my summer sleeping bag is just a fleece or silk liner, my cooking gear is a 750ml pot that contains everything i need to cook a meal(except food)
I take an extra pair of socks, underwear, and a shirt.
Of course all of this is for weekend trips, which are almost always in good weather(i probably wont go if its gonna rain). If its a longer trip that ive been planning for a while, I take a bigger pack(50l most likely) because i'll need extra shit like rain gear and more food storage, etc.
