Hello /out/, I am very very new to this board, so please excuse me if this is a really dumb question:
Yesterday I saw a BOB thread and pretty much everyone was having a tent in theres. But wouldnt a Hammock be better since it probably weighs less and is also easier to set up.
Of course only if you are going to travel through terrain which actually conatins trees. Also with a sport utility blanket and another rope you could easily make it protected again rain and you wouldnt get washed away for example.

In which cases is a hammock better than a tent and why (and vice versa).
How does the country the affect them? (wild animals, terrain, weather)
