Hi sc/out/s, would like to make a thread on lanterns,torches,headlamps etc to get some good recommendations about what is best/best value for money etc.

I will be going away car-camping in a week, however i only have a headlamp and a tiny lantern which i plan on using in the tent as its so small, but we will need something for outside on the table when its night, for drinks, card games etc.

How are LED battery powered lanterns? Or am i best going with gas/kerosene, price is obviously a factor so am trying to stay away from coleman as they seem to be some of the more expensive ones, so what would you guys recommend for this type of set-up, obviously size isnt a factor as we are car camping so it doesnt need to be able to fold down etc.
