ITT bad outdoor products.

Opinel outdoor, ok idea, bad execution. The biggest weakness this knife has is the serrations. They just don't work properly, I can't understand why they could not have made them normal serrations, but instead went with the angle similar to veff serrations on crkt knives, but leaving out the crucial sharp pointy tips and replacing them with rounder, duller tips. They are just dull and don't sharpen up. It would work if the tips were more pointy instead of rounded but as they are now they are the most poor display of serrations I have seen yet. Sharpening with a diamond rod does sharpen the cove but at the same time it dulls the side and tip due to the angle they have been ground. If they'd just went with a regular angle for the serrations they might even work as a cutting tool instead of a dull saw that takes copious amounts to even cut paracord and saws trough thicker ropes extremely poorly like a dull butter knife loosing to every chinashit in the market for the sole purpose that their serrations are ground straight down instead of at a retarted angle.

The whistle works ok and so does the straight edge part of the blade, but do yourself a favor and pass on this European failed attempt at a knife with serrations.
