Hey, /out/siders. Long time no see.

I wanna get back to camping on my days off. I live on the border of NC and Virginia, near the ocean.
I have two questions.
First, does anyone know of some good places around here? Either public land or decent state parks and such?
Second, if you were packing for two to three day trip, and had to fit everything in a motorcycle's saddlebags, what would you bring? Make it fun by making it cheap as possible.
