Greetings /out/,
my family recently moved and as I was going out to mow the lawn this afternoon, saw pic related in the shed. Appears to be a wasp and the beginning of a nest. There are lots of bees and wasps and stuff around our new house generally, which is cool and stuff, but I feel like it probably isn't safe to have a nest in a little shed I'll have to access regularly through the summer for the lawn.
I come to you to ask 1) am I right that this is a wasp and the beginning of a nest, I really am just guessing and 2) what is the best thing to do about it? I'd be willing/able to kill it and knock down the nest if that's the right thing to do, but I respect life and would rather not if there's a better way of going about it. (Or, alternatively, if that's something that would piss off all the wasps and get me killed, that'd also be important to know)
Thanks in advance for anything, going to go mow the lawn and check back in after
