CARRYING KAYAKS INSIDE CAR

I have pic related, it's a "crossover SUV" from 2005 called Nissan Murano. can I stuff a kayak in there? The seats fold down really nicely but I know kayaks are really long.

Or is there another good way to haul kayak on it as is without buying a roof rack? It has roof rails only.

ive fit a 10 footer into my moms ford escape before by folding all the seats down (including the passenger), but it literally touched the front windsheild. get a couple pool noodles and ratchet straps and strap it to the roof, way easier, and more secure

I've seen some pretty short, white water river style kayaks that would probly fit in there.

a sc/out/s vehicle should either be a truck or an SUV with a roof rack. if not, there is a good chance your doing it wrong

Not to hijack your thread or anything but has anyone taken 3 kayaks in the bed of a truck before? Looking to do a river trip in the summer but I have only room for 2 on my SUV and know someone who will let me borrow their truck.
