>>509695Look, i'm going to sound like a prick...but know that this comes from a good place.
You deserve NOTHING. I don't care how you got the necklace...no circumstance will make me care more. The emotional value we place on physical objects means nothing to anyone but ourselves. You love your necklace and nobody else cares about it the way you do.
The emotion is more important than the object. Our memory, as humans, isn't perfect. So we hold on to objects and items in an effort to maintain or bolster our recall ability. But no object can change the fact that chances are that even your most vivid memories are likely just your brain's interpretation of snapshots of a certain event. So whatever memory or moment you connect with that necklace is probably flawed, incomplete, or utterly incorrect...
The only thing that is real, the only thing that remains constant despite the inaccuracy of our memory...is the emotion you receive from wearing it. The necklace isn't what is important...what is important is the emotion. Whatever that necklace makes you feel is incorporated into your very fiber and being. It can't be lost.
The necklace is nothing...You don't need it.
