Every year I'm reminded why I hate the summer. Oak pollen is apparently in high abundance right now, but pine trees are just starting to kick off so I think it might be pine. I don't really get hayfever when down in Cornwall, funnily enough.

Anybody else suffer from tree pollen? I'm very confident that my hayfever comes from tree pollen, but could also be rape pollen based on this chart from the Met Office.

Live in the Sirhowy valley (well, up on top of the side) but come from the Rhymney valley. I take Chlorphenamine 4mg and that works pretty great for me. Already staved off the itching (I took one just before making this thread).

Im a tree surgeon and I suffer terribly from it, oak and birch in particular. It fucks me up every spring, doctors do have some great pills if you tell them that nothing else touches it and that its affecting your work, I cant remember what its called off the top of my head ill have a look when I get home and update, all i can remember is it starts with an F and its what they give to pilots!

I guess? The alternative is live in another era or not live and I'm quite fond of living. I don't think hayfever is the fine line between life and death though as it's for a few weeks a year. If I lived thousands of years ago then I'd probably live on the coast like the rest of the celts where pollen count is lower.

Yeah, I have it pretty bad, I get pink eye from it. It's just so fucking dumb. Need to take corticosteroids 7 months out of the year for this bullshit. can't really go out in spring and summer.

I had it really bad as a kid, a few times I just had to give up on the day and just stay indoors with my eyes sizzling away.

Now though I get it maybe 10 days in a year where I need to take a tablet. The rest I just don't complain because it's not that bad. I'm pretty lucky really.
