"BEND, Ore. – A Prineville man's outrage over vandalism along a popular Oregon trail has turned into a viral hunt for the alleged culprits and a U.S. Forest Service investigation.
Brett Nelson was hiking with a friend along the Tumalo Falls Trail outside Bend last Saturday when he says he saw two children with their dad carving their names into a metal railing at a scenic overlook.
Nelson said he confronted the family and urged them to stop. But even the dad seemed to think it was no big deal and let the kids continue."
