>>511638 yeah, i'm handy. i'm pretty good at getting things to work.
>>511643yeah, these motors require care and maintenance, if you install it, gas it up, hop on and take off at top speed it'll explode in half an hour. i won't really be going above 20 mph. and i'm prepared to maintain, tune, tighten, and oil the thing every time i use it, i'll be putting together a checklist to run down everytime i get on and off the thing - its not much, mostly making sure everything is lubricated and adjusted to proper tolerances.
>>511670i'm aware that the law is more of a person then a code, and that considering the locals and situation is important to not tic the wrong person off.
100-140 mpg is what people on forums are reporting getting, under different circumstances, the lowest i've seen is 95 for a fat guy.
definitely won't be burning the thing up at fifty miles an hour, i'm aware some people can push these to 55, but they recommend not going faster then 35. twenty is more then enough for me. i won't be doing more then going ten miles down the road to work for year or so anyways.
i'll pedal a lot of the time, and when i get tired or need to go faster, will spin up the engine a little. eventually i'd like to go on a road trip with it, i've walked across half the usa doing 25 miles a day with a pack. this thing would really be an improvement.
i don't give a fuck about greenery. i'm interested in having the ability to get around the area cheaply. and not paying for insurance.
