op, if you look at the label, they are only adding 5g, which is a small amount. in comparison, a can of soda has like 100g of sugar. so don't worry about it.

however, they are adding a large amount of msg, a small amount of soy/gluten, unknown flavorings, and several preservatives. most people have a problem with a least one of those ingredients.

to make jerky with a dehydrator, you just need beef, so look into it. and if you do get a food dehydrator, don't add too much salt unless you plan to be sweating a lot that day.

i know, i mentioned that in the first sentence. i just didn't like that guy's faggot attitude. i truly believe soda is the cause of a significant percentage of diabeetus. i know fruitarians who don't have diabetes, and they consume vast amounts of sugar. my theory is that the nutrients in fruit help prevent diabetes, thus enabling them to stupidly refrain from eating meat.

I'm not too concerned about how much sugar. It just doesn't belong in cured meat. I want jerky that tastes like cumin or paprika, not candied beef. Anyway I still don't know if/where I can buy decent beef jerky.

Just wash it, sprinkle whatever you like on it, then throw it in the oven for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
