>>514256TL;DR A lot of Gerber products aren't high quality but if they get the job done for you who cares?
Some of their multi-tools are better than others. They made a newer one here in the US, apparently it's actually decent. But as other's have said, Gerber's quality control, as well as the materials they use have gone downhill in the last few years.
That being said, I have a Gerber Remix in my pocket right now. I bought it as a beater knife on a whim, and it's lasted me a year or so now. I didn't want to bring my Benchmade to work with me, I install alarms and run wire so I sometimes lose shit that's in my pockets or abuse blades when I open boxes of wire or parts. The blade steel is garbage, but it functions just fine for my purposes and I can carabiner it to my belt. Ha, the edge is almost completely serrated at this point. But it gets the job done, so I'll keep using it until it breaks completely, maybe even buy another.
>>514366Hnng, damn that's a nice looking package. I've recently fallen in love with Condor, even if their quality control is lacking on occasion. The Kephart I received needed a little bit of work, but now is my belt knife of choice. That Jungle Bowie looks alluring as well.
This has almost turned into a Gearfag thread.
