What kind of hat do you wear in the /out/doors?

Currently, I've been wearing this shitty cheap safari hat, but I'm looking for one that has a velcroed brim to stand on the sides and probably not a drawstring

I wear a Hoorag pretty much anywhere when I go /out/. Just ordered 2 more as backups for those just in case circumstances. Really recommend a look at them, especially for white folk like me who live fishing and come back a lobster.

I don't have a picture handy but it's similar to that only the same material all around it that I got from academy for, I think, around 14 bucks.

About the same color too. Has snaps on the side and is generally pretty comfortable though it feels a little heavy if it's raining and it gets soaked.

These hats are wonderful for just about any /out/ They have a pocket in them where I keep my fishing license and $10 just in case I need it. In my experience it also retains water well if you have to move it around. Good for rain too if it is just a sprinkle.

Yup, off my helmet cam. Snocross race last year.
Hit hard enough to knock me out, busted my visor, reset the camera... came to and the medics were asking me my race number and where I was... Another guy in my class broke his ankle on that same step-down.
Last lap of finals I cased a double over the finish line and broke my ankle. Track was really tight.

Pic from the race about a month ago... sled was kinda running like shit (base gasket leaking coolant) but I still kept up pretty well. Beat a couple of other big-name riders that day, but I could have done a lot better if my sled was running better.
