I got my basic harvester pack down to just a few items, so I would bring the items that would be harder to recreate while innawoods.
1.knife (I can Knapp flint, but it's still not as good as modern steel)
2. My hudsonbay tin (has flint and steel, tender, magnifier lense, and ferro rod) I can get a fire from bow/pump drill but this saves energy and time.
3. Stainless steel bottle to collect and boil water in. I prefer 40oz.
4. Firearm for protection and hunting. I can make traps and fish baskets so I would opt for an AK47 for the reliability and 762 can take decent size game and is documented in bear protection.
5. Headlamp. I have been using a old surefire saint for years now.
I frequently build primitive shelters so I wouldn't need a tarp, I also braid tree bark into rope so in wouldn't need cordage. But to make things easier, if I could have a tarp and some rope, I'd have it made.
