How much weight can good backpacks hold? I regularly bike with 20 pounds, maybe more, in my Dakine Heli Pro. It's concentrated, specifically a 10 pound chain lock and 5 pound u-lock together in the same part of the pack. Is this bad for it? Will it eventually rip? Thanks.

The hell do you need 15lbs of shit to lock up a bike? I mean, sure, there are some pricy fucking bikes, but where are you leaving it that you need that?

I used this on my dirt bike when I'd leave it in the truck due to laziness. No one with a pair of dikes will just cut through this. Weighs nothing compared to what you're carrying.

I sometimes carry a u-lock and a chain lock, partly so I can lock the frame with the u-lock and the wheels with the chain lock, and partly so that if I can't find something small enough to lock it to with a u-lock then I can use the chain. I ride in big cities and sometimes I get off my bike and leave it for a while to go walk around, climb trees, etc, so I want good locks.

Disregard this giftribbon-carrying retard. Keep doing you, OP. I use just a U-lock, but this leaves my saddle and front tire vulnerable. If I lived in a city or needed to park it in seedy places, your setup is optimal. Plus my ride is a piece of shit rusted old mtn bike (that has been everywhere and through everything.)

I carry a U lock and a 6 lb laptop, plus personal shit, in a 5 year old piece of trash backpack. The bottom was falling out before I started using it, so I took scrap fabric and sewed a new layer on the bottom to half up the sides by hand to the inside. It hasn't broken yet.
