It's a german webpage (fernwege.de) which has created the kmz with the routes and as far as I understand (they are not giving that much information) add new ones from time to time.

(Once loaded into GE, you can check for updates with right click)

Has any of you an idea on how to create such files?
We could maybe build an /out/-Trail kmz, keeping shared routes done from sc/out/s, if this is possible.

that wasn't very hard to find

I guess creating some trails would be an interesting community project. We don't have the "trail culture" here that the US does, though there are trails (got 600 miles worth of trail with pre-built shelters along the way near where I live)

But now I did and I think "Network Links" are the topic to look at:

As with these you can have kind of dynamic information, like updates to tracks being visible for whole community.
