>>519017>What should I look out for? You should watch out for the insane amount of laws that regulate outdoor activities. You pretty much have to stick to designated camping sites, designated trails, and make sure you look into fishing licences in whatever state you go to.
Also, try not to get lost. Australia is fucking huge and if you wander off and go bush you will find yourself lost in one of the most unforgiving environments in the world, particularly if you are in the North or West of the country. Thousands of cunts get lost. Bring a compass or a beacon or some shit, or just use your head
Wildlife wise, you should be fine. Blouse your boots and don't go provoking shit, use gear that will stop spiders/snakes getting into your bed. Stay away from wild roos as they will kick your shit. If you see a snake DO NOT go near it, give it a wide berth and leave it the fuck alone because it's pretty much guaranteed to be deadly.
>Should I bring a gun?Fun is 100% against the rules in Australia and incurs an on-the-spot fine. Guns, being an extension of fun, are therefore HEAVILY banned. You won't get to play with guns in Australia unless you know somebody. And even then it's still illegal.
Pic from when I lived in WA, more info coming....
