>>520030>This is a civilian backpack with camo, mole and big zips. It's bad for the military and the hikers. Are you sure?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Improved_Load_Bearing_Equipment>>520027Civ Packs are lighter and sturdier. ergonomics: benefit: unbeatable in research and development civ packs use topnotch materials from future.
As someone who got to use quite a few military backpacks from all kinds of area (older shittier stuff in basic training and progressively getting better gear in advanced training and finally in deployment, than changing gear according to type of mission and as time progressed).
And a few brands of the ordinary civilian backpacks (Lowe alpine, Osprey and Gregory) I feel entitled to say that military packs are a LOT more durable than civilian one's. It's not nearly in the same league.
This is also the main reason they are heavier.
Perhaps there is some very specialized civilian equipment which is sturdier and lighter than the ordinary infantry used backpacks, probably.
But it's a lot harder to supply and maintain equipment in quantities of hundreds of thousands than a few an expedition may need.
Most infantry gear is lagging behind the best civilian one a bit because of the quantity limitation.
That usually does not apply to SF, which are small and relatively well funded.
That's the reason I started with SF pics, since that's the direction the infantry will often follow.
PS I was not the guy who added the unrelated pics, that was another person.
