I saw this review on Youtube, looks pretty decent, anybody got any experience with this or similar knives? I really like choppers and this one looks like a beast!

I believe we have discussed about this one before. For me this has worked well enough. I replaced axe/knife combo with it.

The weight of the blade is almost too heavy. It certainly chops better than average small hiking axe. Also the first quarter has scandi grind so it makes weather sticks nicely also. I've had one since it was first released and I love it. Sure it's big, but it needs to be. I usually hang it from my backpack and take it off when setting up camp. Good for building shelters, gathering firewood, that sort of stuff.

Just because it can baton doesn't mean it can't do other stuff too, it's clearly a chopper. And if you really have to baton I think something like the Skrama is probably the best thing to do it with.

Batoning haters are always batoning some extreme seasoned hardwood which is just stupid, batoning is a perfectly good trick to turn typical Scandinavian pine, birch and so on into firewood.
