How do I take care of non-stainless steel knife in a very wet environment?

Assuming I will be wading through swamps and wetland every day for 2-3 weeks, is there any hope for the knife? Or should I just look for alternatives?

Oil it well. Maybe put oil in the sheath too.

Dry and oil it. If you plan on using the knife for any food prep, use some thing like veggie oil.

1. Try to keep it dry, maybe carry it in your pack.
2. When it gets wet dry it.
3. Carry some oil with you and give it a coat each night after drying it.
