I can't find that "QTDDTOT" thingy.

So uh, my question is, how does /out/ (or anyone) protect leather from getting damaged by water? And how am I supposed to restore water damaged leather?

Now, these aren't boots I'm talking about. They're more like straps n shite.
I already "massaged" the water damaged leather to loosen it up, but it's still kinda stiff and rough. Want to protect it further once done.

And this one might be a /k/ question, but how do you protect metal helmets from rain water/rusting?
I have no oils, would vaseline suffice instead?
