idk there's a tree that smells like that too, im too far south for them to grow. some college campus up north planted them all over the grounds and every year students complain about these fucking retarded trees some dumb bitch probably said "oh those looks pretty get those!"

That looks to be in the Polygunum family.

Probably a Knotweed. It is definately not Japanese Knotweed but it can be a Fallopia.

They smell like trash or fish.
