Picked up Wild by Cheryl Strayed. I'm trying to enjoy it because I liked the movie, but I'm struggling to find any likable aspects to this woman.

However it can act as a guide on what not to do, regarding your life in general and while /out/.

Ahhh yes I have the perfect version to recommend for you. I'm out of town though, I'm going off of my memory with a belly full of beer. I think it's a Cambridge collection of the writings of Thoreau. Blue cover. It's got all the essential writings of Thoreau, including the trip down the Concord, a week in the Maine woods, a plea for captain John brown. And a few others I can't think of. Pin this thread and I'll post the isbn of it when I get home Thursday. All of it is a good read for sc/out/s

Ed Abbey's stuff is my favorite. The Monkey Wrench Gang and Desert Solitaire are both amazing. Reading Walden at the moment, I like it so far. A walk in the woods by Bill Bryson and Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer are both good too.

Just started Walden and am kind of having trouble with the language.
I hate to admit this, but it's not an easy read for me. I honestly haven't read a book in a few years... so shameful.
