Former FLbro here, get on the water. I used to surf, snorkel, saltwater fish. You could also canoe or kayak. River tubing is fun. Even just being able to take a swim every so often during your hike makes a difference. I also highly recommend floundering.

Water activities, hunting, shooting, beaching, go explore some of the national parks we have so many in Florida. Where are you located? I'm from Orlando live in Gainesville and have lived in south Florida so I can probably think of some places within a reasonable distance from you.
