how many of you have good tactics for snipe hunting?
After backpacking with my uncle I am determined to catch a snipe, he said you have to use wire traps and peanutbutter as that's the only bait they'll go after since they are extremely smart...
Help?

I want to catch a snipe though, what kind of calls do I use? I've heard that a modified duck call with a sock over it really helps

Shotgun and a bird dog, daytime hunting. That's all. I've only ever seen one snipe in my life and it flew over our heads while we were walking back to the truck....when the firearms were unloaded. We were both like, "FFFFFFF!!!".

Snipe are dumb birds. There's even a jokes among duck hunters about snipe hunting. I've seen them several times before sunlight just sitting on the ground as I'm walking into my duck hunting spot. I've literally cought them with my bare hands.
