>>539041>Training with a heavy pack makes sense.Only if you are in the military and will be required to be an autonomous packhorse for every conceivable contingency. Same goes with camo. Only military and those in related fields need to be using it (not even hunters need camo really.)
>>539037I don't even think I own 60lbs of camping/hiking gear. I can't even imagine the need. Hell, I even pack a cast iron skillet with me. I don't do winter camping, maybe that is the difference?
I have an idea. Let's break down the weight for a 60lbs pack.
I live in a temperate climate and only camp in the spring to fall.
60lbs pack:
5lbs: 2-person tent
3lbs: sleep kit
3lbs: 1st aid kit
1lbs: fire making kit
0.25lbs: fishing and snaring kit
5lbs: cooking kit (also used for water sanitizing/sterilizing/distilling)
1lbs: water container
3lbs: tool kit (folding camp shovel, knife, sewing kit, 2 LED flash lights)
2lbs: back pack
23.25lbs/10.54Kg
That leaves 36.75lbs for dragon dildos I guess?
