Dig a hole with a stick, because once your gas is gone, you got about 100g-ish of dead weight you can't use for anything else. If you carry charcloth, anything you can dig a hole with and a fire steel (bic meme pls go), you're set until your charcloth is gone, and after that you can still source tinder.
I have to say, however, that I don't usually go into extremely flammable environments, of course woodland is flammable, but not as much as dry arid fields.
So as far as I am concerned, I don't need a stove, I'm sensible with my fire making and I don't care for 500g of an E-tool.
