You know America gets a lot of shit from Britons, and plenty of it is definitely warranted, but the UK does not seem like a particularly nice country to live in. It's incredibly overcrowded, the outdoors have mostly been destroyed by industrialization, there isn't much wildlife or wilderness, everybody is so tense and stiff all the time, and the weather is terrible.
Just from an /out/ perspective, it looks bad. How can you guys live in such cramped spaces? It looks so uncomfortable.
There are plenty of great things about the UK, very jealous of the NHS, and
I like a lot of the traditional cultural aspects of the country, but I wouldn't ever want to live there.
