>>541138>>542740I just went to Zion 3 weeks ago. First let me tell you about it.
>Anyone have any suggestions for campgroundsThere are two campground in Zion. One is reservation only, the other is first come first serve. Reservation is $25 a night and unreserved is $16. Definitely make a reservation for the first night because unreserved fills up by 8 or 9 am. Then get up early each day and put a little yellow tag that you get from a box at the front on your campsite post. If you have a tag there nobody can take your campsite, even if you leave for the day with your car and all your stuff.
>We're definitely gonna hike the narrows, but it looks like all the campgrounds aren't too close to itFrom the campgrounds you can walk over to the visitor center and take a shuttle to anywhere in the canyon you like. This includes Angles Landing and the Narrows. The shuttles are free (included in your camping fee) and run every 10 minutes. It's a super nice system. My friends and I all hiked the narrows and then the girls hopped onto a shuttle back to the camp while we hiked Angels.
>/places to avoid/points of interest? We were only there two nights so I don't now of anything to avoid. Weeping Rock was beautiful and was only a 10 minute walk. Definitely do Narrows, but don't rent those ugly ass water shoes. Any shoes are fine.
>How dangerous is angels landing really? I'm not afraid of heights but my companion is so I'm wondering if he's right to bitch out. Also definitely do Angels Landing. It's not really scary until the very end, but the longer you are up there the more comfortable you feel. My friend was also afraid of heights so he didn't go to the very top, but there is a nice spot pretty high up to stop anyways. Pic is me about halfway up Angels.
Also, are you me? I live in so cal and I am going back to Zion around the 6th of July.
