anyone got first hunt/kill stories? Ive got one I'm not proud of

>with best friend 17
>he got a new pellet gun
>decide to go to woods and hunt
>friend sees squirrel
>shoots it
>he hits it but it doesnt die
>appears to have brain damage, just sitting on the ground
>friend trys to finish it with his knife
>the spine breaks
>it starts twitching and doing this horrible crawl dance across the ground
>mfw
>fuck this man
>run up with my knife and hit it as hard as I can
>the head explodes
>dear god why
>I'll feel bad if I don't eat it after that
>skin it and eat what wasn't destroyed
>attempt to tan hide
>after a couple days it looks and feels like brown plastic
It was pretty bad but I still hunt, a lot better at it now too.
