My dad is an outdoorsy, do-it-yourselfy kind of guy. He spends a lot of time in his modified garage building things, carpentry, metalworking, and he likes to go fishing and hunting. I'm pretty much the opposite and generally my only exposure to his lifestyle is when I visit with him and do stuff like go fishing with him or help him with projects he has going on, like retooling an engine or something like that.

His birthday is coming up, and I'm having trouble coming up with a good gift idea for him. I only see him twice a year for about a week each time so without asking him what he wants, I don't have any good ideas of what to surprise him with. Could you /out/doorsmen and women help a city boy out?
