Hey there, has anyone ever seen such a thing?

What I know about GB makes me think this is a counter-fit, but I cannot imagine why someone would take the time to counter-fit something like this.

Looks like a real thing to me. I don't know much about the company but they existed before youtube-bushcrafters. Maybe that's from the 70's. The steel coloured part has a good lacquer but the red part has rusted. Someone added some paint and is selling it as NOS.

Or maybe it's a chinese axehead made in 2014 and someone let it rust intentionally to make it look older and used his printer to make that vintage label from an image he found from Internet. Maybe the painting-fail is there only to make it look like more real, a sort of reverse psychology trick.
Do you have any more information. This is interesting for reasons i don't understand.
