I got the motor last year and fishing trips are a lot more enjoyable now. I don't have to spend 90% of the time paddling or worrying about the wind or the anchor. And I can get pretty far if I want, the battery will get about 20 mi per charge before it starts to die. I don't really use the highest speed setting but it gets up to probably ~6-7mph on it.
