If you want to get down into oregon, there's a billion campsites along the coast from top to bottom. They're all about the same, honestly, but they come as two types. One is the on the beach campsites, which may or may not be sandy, and have small trees for cover. Then there's the back from the beach campgrounds that are more like a forest type campground. Lots of showers and amenities. If you're looking for something slightly more rustic, check county campgrounds instead of state ones. They are also cheaper. Also, google map them and see how close they are to towns. There's a couple that are literally right in a town.
Also, there's an island on the oregon coast (kinda) that you have to walk to to camp on. It's up north. Just google the oregon stuff. If you have any specific questions, I can probably answer them.
