So the Amazon sale is coming about and I'm thinking of grabbing a machete. I'm about simplicity, I've got a leatherman wave and now I'd like a machete instead of bringing an ax with me on my escapades.

I think I'm going to go with meme brand Cold Steel because their numbers don't lie and actually seem to be obnoxious because they are the best.

Any experience with taking trips with machetes but no axe? What do you guys recommend? I'm deciding between the Latin Machete Plus so I can get another tool out of the way, the magnum kukri and the jungle kukri but Im open to other options.
