I try to camp around remote hot springs, specifically the little-used ones that can be refilled with fresh hot water. Since I discovered all the springs within about 500-600 miles of me, these are my number one choice for /out/ings. The one in the pic is associated with a campground, a good hour+ by two-lane highway from the nearest tiny town. The water is usually alkaline in these springs, so you don't need any soap, and it leaves your skin feeling smooth. Other springs I frequent are often several miles from the trailhead, usually after a rough dirt road drive for a couple hours. I like to base-camp near them, and explore the nearby trails on foot or mountainbike.
