im starting college in natural resources

im starting college in a month for an associates degree in natural resource management
does anyone have advice or opinions on the subject

I have a BS in Environmental science, 8 years later still looking for someone to pay to hike around the woods all day.
You can only find environmental jobs that are interesting if you're willing to move cross country to make $10 an hour for a seasonal job that only lasts 4 month before you have to do it again.

Have you considered working for an oil company? might not be the ideal /out/ job but you could make a pile of moneys in a short period of time.
I am sure you have marketable skill sets for the oil field. GIS, permitting, environmental impact studies, idk lots of stuff goes on behind the scenes.

Starting in January or September? F&W is alright, I've spoken to a few graduates of it. It's tough if you want to be a CO in Ontario. One of the guys I taught ended up working for Alberta fish and game though.

You'll enjoy it. Great staff, there's a bar on campus if you want to socialize, and I've heard the field camp in third(i think) semester is really fun.

You should also bring a fishing rod or something for the first semester. The first semester will be a breeze, and the scugog has a nice amount of musky and bass in it. It isnt necessary for any classes though.
