i've never kilt a roo but i've eaten em a number of times. it's not that great. pretty much like steak or lamb except with a strong flavor that's hard to describe and i don't like. i suggest getting roo at a good restaurant to see how they prepare it before you throw it on the grill at home. it's a very picky meat.

Huh, weird, I like the flavor a lot specifically because it is pretty powerful. Mutton crossed with bison would be my best attempt at description.

I'm from the US though, I don't even know if 'roo meat is imported or not.. If it is then I'm sure it's only served at a few pompous and expensive 'fine dining' establishments.

they have roo sausages and roo frozen steaks in the usa. Had it in aus and it wasnt "all that" similar to venison with out the game taste, a buddy said the tail meat is best on a roo similar to ox tails.
