recommendations for cool guy operator hiking pants? I always hike in manbooty shorts but ill be doing some winter hiking this year so ill have to cave and shell out some money for decent gear, at least the pants.

I tried a pair of Icebreaker Field Pants on today. Damn, they felt beautiful. As soon as I get some other stuff sorted I am buying a pair.

They were, like, $179 AU. One reason I didn't grab 'em was I'm hoping they're cheaper from the US. Most Icebreaker stuff is not much more expensive in Australia but a couple of their items are surprisingly priced.

eg. Their button-up shirts are about a hundred dollars more.

What the fuck kind of shorts do you wear hiking? I went for the first time last week and really enjoyed it except for the fact that the only shorts I own are basketball shorts and cutoff jean shorts/jorts

So I wore the jorts and that shit was tight, hot, and uncomfortable. But I don't know what to get from the store so could I get some suggestions please?
Bonus points if it's something I can go out and buy tonight since I'd like to go back out tomorrow morning. So, maybe something I could pick up from target or an academy or something. You guys would know better than me.
