Any knife makers here? I'm thinking about getting into knife making and was wondering how hard it would be to work with a pattern welded billet to make a small sax like the one in my picture.

To be clear, I plan to buy a billet that someone else has already forged (found some online for $55/12") and filing it into the knife. I'd love to be able to do my own pattern welding some day but that's a long way off...
