anyone own any of their products? is it actually worth it?

i spend a lot of time outside during winter plowing snow and shit so looking for a good coat. last year i went through 3 coats so i also need something really durable

No. I think it started as a very reputable brand with the right idea. But I believe they've come to that point where they are letting things get to their head a little too much. I wouldn't spend that much money on a brand that has lost touch with its roots. Depending on the kindof work you do there are definitely other options. A cheap but really good alternative that comes to mind is helly Hansen. I myself have a good down parka that gets it done.

most of my time in winter is just plowing snow with an ATV or occasionally a tractor and blower if we get a bad storm. one coat just randomly ripped open along a steam and two others froze up causing the material to just snap.

the one that ripped along the seem almost fucked me since the ATV broke down about 5 min later. closest shelter was an hours walk and i ended up with a lot of frostbite

Maybe try a Feathered Friends down suit plus loose coveralls overtop for extra abraision resistance?

Ontario, Canada. generally it's -30C or about -40 with the wind but the last few winters have been quite a bit colder. hoping this winter will be warmer but i'd like to be prepared anyway

coveralls is actually a pretty good idea. maybe get a cheaper coat and get insulated coveralls for that little extra

If you are within the arctic circle, yes. Otherwise most people who own them say they are too warm. You can't just take off a layer. Terrible for outdoor activities and work. Good if you are just standing there though. Maybe ice fishing in Canada without a shanty.

I work in mining in the NWT, they are very common parkas up here and for good reason. I also see a ton of their "less-warm" fashion-centred jackets down in Montreal and Toronto (and knockoffs), those people are just paying for the fashion label, but hey they also pay $200 for jeans so at least they're getting a good jacket for their schekles...
