I have been with /out/ since a few weeks after its inception.
I love this board and I love all of you guys but I wish that it was a little bit more active.
Not as active as the "big" boards but just a little more than it currently is. I very much enjoy coming here and seeing new content and active posters but that happens very infrequently.
How can we make this happen, /out/?
Could we all just work on posting here more?
Let's discuss.

Said it before and I'll say it again, this is a bad idea. Not to sound cliquish but we have a good thing going here, you don't have to scramble to keep up with replies, people can take their time. Yeah there's trolling and baiting and a few legit retards running around, like any board, but because there's that slowed down feel it also produces some real gems of information and opinion.

This is also why classroom effectiveness almost universally goes down when there's more students, it isn't as much a discussion between people as it is this fest to inject your opinion as quickly as possible, often streamlining it to the key points, which leads to perceived errors.

tl;dr, no, it's fine, I like it.

I have to agree. It's slow, but it's a good slow. If you want the posts to increase, create more relevant topics and people will reply. But don't try to increase the traffic for sheer popularity sake.

If you feel that your more of a lurker op then maybe you might be right, ok there's not always going to have something new every other refresh like /b/. It DOES have a lot of intelligent people that have jobs/careers and don't spend nearly as much time on the computer as most /b/tards.. Which brings me to my next point. This board stands out because that's what we do we /out/. We don't sit in front of a computer every day and waste the daylight away. Now, not to say we don't enjoy our internet, but just to say that we participate an amount of time away from the screen to engage in these activities. Then come back and catch up on the 1-3 pages of new content, post something, make a comment and let the line sink its bobber for a while. Let the post do its thing.

I just wish people could start creating really /out/ threads. Stuff like building shelters, photos, gear etc are legit good threads. Shit about shows, movies, /pol/shit, SJW's, feminazis, feels are utterly trash and should stay far from our board.
