Wasn't /out/ created the same day as /pol/ and /lgbt/? I think all were born on the same day in 2011. /pol/ just had their 50 millionth post while /out/ is barely over 500,000.

I think our main problem is competing with /k/ and /an/. This is such a niche board and people have two other boards to post practically the same things to. /an/ is just under 2 million posts, I think we should merge /out/ and /an/ into one board dedicated to all nature topics.

Anybody actually use the solar charger? I keep hearing about it, and the same basic thing is sold under a million names, but I've yet to talk to someone who actually uses it.

The reviews say the idea is that you mostly charge it by plugging it in, but can top it off in the field via solar. The idea is that it's a bigass battery with a secondary solar that bumps it up a little.

I almost bought one but found a 10k mah non solar charger for like $8 so I got that. Kind of wish I had the solar part. It won't add much juice using the solar, but it will get some extra charge, which is nice. I'd clip it to my pack as I hike to charge while I hiked.

Yeah i'd leave it out for a day or two with no real noticeable charge but it holds the charge well. Built in flashlight too so that's a plus.
