Hey sc/out/s, I'm heading up to Bryce Canyon in a few weeks, anyone been there that had some advice for the best hikes?

Also, I live at the Grand Canyon and am using it as a home base to explore Northern Arizona and Southern Utah. I've been to Zion already, where else is a must-see?

Grew up in Flag, tons of amazing places around there, if you are into canyoneering check out Paria Canyon (buckskin gultch to white house to lease ferry), Clear creek (from off Lake mary road to bullpen down by camp verde), sycamore canyon in the verde (good overnights almost year round). Tons of amazing hikes up on the san fransisco peaks, try Bear Jaw if can, huge aspen tree groves up there and this time of year the leaves will be starting to change.

I'm not really in shape for real canyoneering (working on it), but I am an avid hiker. I already have plans to hike to the top of My Humphrey. I was thinking of setting up camp at Lockett Meadow and heading up from there. Is this a reasonable plan?

Thunder River/Tapeats Creek/Deer Creek in the Grand Canyon, for sure. Also Havasupai.

Aquarius Plateau and Boulder Mountain by Capitol Reef.

Telluride/Ophir/Silverton/Durango/Ouray.

Moab.

Antelope Canyon.

Monument Valley.

Canyon de Chelly.

Chaco Canyon.

Taos.

The Hopi Villages (especially Walpi.)

West Fork of Oak Creek.

Many, many, many more; the Four Corners is a wonderland for those who enjoy getting out in nature.

Because the air is really clear there you can see really far (pic related)

Nope. I did the Narrows though. Spent longer there than I expected, so I didn't get to Angel's Landing either. I'm definitely going back to hit up Subway and Angel's Landing.

i went to Zion with the family when I was a kid but we didn't do anything cool like that, just kinda did some drives and got out of the car sometimes for views and such. damn.

I just got back from zion today lmao. I wanted to do the subway but we decided to do narrows/oderville canyon instead. I'll post pics later on this week.

We might go back and do subway before summers over. How hard was it? Any specific gear you would recommend bringing along? Was it your first time?

Its only about a 9 mile hike but It's somewhat of a hard considering a good portion of it is swimming/trudgeing through water. There are several repels the larger one being (pic related) about 14 ft so you will need a 30ft rope. Another one is only 8 feet and we just used an repel latter for lt. The rest have a optional "jumping in water" alternative which we did. Also some dry sacks to keep your food dry would be nice but doubled up Ziploc bags work fine. Water proof case for your phone or camera.This was my second time going .

Yeah you can do it that way. but you cant get very far up to the subway area its famous for before turning back which would be kind of lame tbh. It would still be an beautiful hike but also a let down.

Arches is probably my favorite park. It's pretty crowded at some parts, but not hard at all fo find cool hidden places to be alone. There is literally endless exploring. You could live there all your life.and never explore all of it.
