I don't like bringing changes of clothes while /out/, so items that can last for 5 days w/o washing and still not stink or look like I have been living...well...outside for a week, are great.
All that being said, while I really like them, Im sure there are other vendors selling nylon ripstop clothes. Id try 1 piece (pants are standard, but the shirts are great too imo), and see if you like it.
Some people also like heavier clothes, so these fit that bill if that is you.
